Elementary school (grades 1-4)

Our elementary school encompasses grades 1-4. The structure and organization is very similar to elementary schools in Germany. Lessons go from 8am to 2.30pm (Thursdays: 1.40pm). Teaching content is based on German curricula. In addition, and as per our school license agreement with the Kurdish Ministry of Education, we teach a few subjects in Kurdish (Kurdish language, religion, social studies) and Arabic (language).
Our curriculum in elementary school consists of the following subjects:

5 lessons per week (grade 4: 3)

Arabic (starting in grade 4)

Social studies (starting in grade 4)
1 lesson per week
Children with limited German language skills receive additional support. During the school year we celebrate both German and Kurdish holdiays.
Are you moving / returning to Kurdistan? Changing over to our school from any elementary school in Germany (or a school in which German was a primary language of instruction) is in most cases possible at any time.
